Millet porridge with lentils and sweet potatoes

You can eat this porridge by itself or eat it with a stir-fried dish.

Option: to eat it by itself, you can add honey, some peanut butter and some cream into it. It is soft and easy to digest for a baby who just begins to eat solid food. I love to eat it by itself because it is nutritious.

I also love to eat it with a stir-fry dish or other main course.

It is very tasty and nutritious.

Plus it is so simple to cook it:

Ingredients: (quantity according to your own liking)

  • 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups millets
  • 1/3 cup Lentils
  • 1 medium-sized or a large sweet potato (cut into a small pieces–I cut it too big)
  • Three times water

You can always add more water if it gets too thick. Make sure to rinse millets and Lentils before cooking it. Peel the sweet potato and cut it into small pieces. The cooking time will depend on the amount of the ingredients you put in there. Put the ingredients with water and then bring it to boil and then simmer until all ingredients taste soft and look like the photo above. You can simmer it for 30 min. or more.

It is a very tasty porridge you can eat by itself or with any main course. The below stir-fried meat and vegetables is on top of a bowl of millet porridge.
