Green Salad with Almonds and boiled eggs

Ingredients:

  • Green salad vegetables (See Photo 1)
  • Other fresh vegetable choices: Cucumber, yellow pepper, red pepper, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, carrots, etc.
  • boiled eggs (sliced and shredded)
  • Honey Roasted Almonds
  • a little bit of bacon bits (to add a good taste to your salad)
  • shredded cheese

Dressings: Your favorite salad dressing. I love to eat salad with Hidden Vally Ranch Dressing. (Don’t drench salad with too much dressing. It is healthier and tastier to put less than more).

Eat fresh vegetables as much as you can. I rarely use frozen vegetables. Everything tastes better when it is fresh. Even for the cooked vegetable dishes, I don’t use frozen vegetables. No one will say “delicious” to dishes that are made out of frozen food.

“All the pre-made sauces in a jar, and frozen and canned vegetables, processed meats, and cheeses which are loaded with artificial ingredients and sodium can get in the way of a healthy diet. My number one advice is to eat fresh, and seasonally. ”  —Todd English

“The easiest diet is, you know, eat vegetables, eat fresh food. Just a really sensible healthy diet like you read about all the time.”– Drew Carey
