Dr. Lisa Shi earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Albany, an M.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Middlebury College, and a Certificate in Translation Studies from the University of Chicago. She has taught Chinese language, Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, East Asian Studies, and Chinese film courses at Hope College, Grand Valley State University, Nanyang Technological University and Bard Early College. She currently teaches Chinese language, Cultural Anthropology, and Modern China through Film in an early college program. Her interests also include bible study, Spanish language learning, health, fitness, cooking, music, and finances.
