My brother-in-law is a retired professional cook. He shared this tasty steamed mixed vegetable dish with me:
The above has oyster sauce over it.
You don’t even have to add any seasoning to the steamed vegetables. They are naturally tasty.
Here are the ingredients:
- Yellow squash
- Egg plant
- Yum or sweet potato
Cut them as seen as in the above photo.
Steam them until they are cooked and you can eat this dish with other flavorful main dish.
Here is what I have made for my dinner.
I didn’t add any seasoning to the steamed vegetables at all. I didn’t cut veggies as nicely as my brother-in-law. But the dish still tastes like heaven! I ate this with salmon. So good!!
For salmon, I just pan-fried both sides of a filet of salmon with oil and I cook it with ginger and garlic. It will look more beautiful to leave it in one piece, but to cook the inside faster, I just broken them into pieces after browning both sides. After it is cooked, just drizzle some lemon juice before serving and sprinkle on the fish with salt and pepper.
As said, this dish will go with any main course that is flavorful.
My body is thanking me now. It is so healthy and tasty. I will definitely make it again and again.
