Ling-Ling Shih received her Master's and PhD degree in Anthropology from State University of New York at Albany, another Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Middlebury College, and a certificate in Translation Studies from University of Chicago. She has taught Chinese, Modern China through Film, Sociology, Anthropology, East Asian studies at Hope College, Grand Valley State University, and Nanyang Technological University. Currently teaches Chinese courses, Cultural Anthropology, Chinese film courses at an early college.
