Different Gargles and Their Usages

Hydrogen Peroxide Gargle

• Use: For oral bacteria, mild infections, and breath freshening

• How to mix:

• 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide

• 2 parts water

• Example: 1 tablespoon peroxide + 2 tablespoons water

• Use once daily, max. Don’t swallow. Use it only occasionally.

✅ Saltwater Gargle

• Use: For sore throat, gum health, healing after dental work

• How to mix:

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 1 cup warm water

• Use 1–3 times daily. Safe for regular use.

✅ Baking Soda Gargle

• Use: For bad breath, acid neutralizing, gentle antiseptic

• How to mix:

• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

• 1 cup warm water

• Use once or twice daily as needed.

✅ Apple Cider Vinegar Gargle (with caution)

• Use: For antibacterial effect (short-term use only)

• How to mix:

• 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

• 1 cup water

• Use occasionally. Rinse mouth afterward to protect enamel.

✅ Herbal Tea Gargle (e.g., sage, chamomile, thyme)

• Use: For sore throat, inflammation, gentle healing

• How to make:

• Brew 1 herbal tea bag or 1 tablespoon dried herbs in 1 cup hot water

• Let cool to warm

• Use 2–3 times daily as needed.
