Steaming is one of the best healthy ways to cook. (See this link: https://www.health.com/nutrition/healthiest-cooking-methods#)
You can quickly come up with a meal.
To steam anything, simply fill a pot with 1-2 inches of water, and place a steamer basket in the pot. Bring the water to a boil, add the veggies of choice, and add cooked meat of your choice or other protein food of your choice, and cover the pot. Steam the veggies until fork tender, about 5-7 minutes for most bite-sized veggies. Only 3 minutes for the leafy veggies.
Season the veggies and shrimps or other roasted chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic.
After steaming until it still looks fresh green and cooked, then scoop some coconut oil and add it to the pot and mix the shrimp with some marinade sauce that you like.
You can also consider adding some sliced sweet potatoes to the pot for good carbohydrates.
It only takes about 15 minutes to prep for this meal.
If you don’t like shrimp, you can put ready made chicken into the pot instead.
Simple but yummy!
